P7 Playleaders are organising Sports Relief this year. Each class will visit the hall for a thirty-minute PE session with their teacher. The children can come to school dressed in their sports clothes.
There will also be an opportunity to do ‘A Mile in Your Own Style’ at lunchtime. This is an optional activity and the children do not have to complete the whole mile, they can choose to do one or two laps. They can walk, jog, skip or even do it 3 legged with a partner, the choice is theirs.
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Monday 16th March as we have Books Abroad coming into school during our Assembly time. Following the assembly, each class will have a reading activity to complete that has been partially designed by the Rights Respecting Committee. For this, the children are asked to think about a book that they have enjoyed recently and would recommend to a friend. This activity will not take all day, so normal class activities will also continue. The children have opted not to dress up and should come to school in normal school uniform that day.
The Eco Committee and Mrs Masson are organising an Eco Spring Fling. Each class will take part in a short activity using items of clothing that are no longer needed. They are asking for donations of any items of clothing that you no longer require. After the event, the items of clothing will be placed in the recycling bank outside of school. This is a short activity and normal class activities will continue. Further information will follow soon.
